A Dead Man named R.M. Starbuck wrote some of my favorite (and most useful!) old books. His books are so useful because he employed a question-and-answer format that appealed to the trade way back when, and to me today. I like it when I can quickly find an answer, don't you?
When I wrote How Come? I followed the same Q&A format. I wanted to share some secrets about hot water heating, and I wanted to do it in the same way the Dead Men did - particularly R.M. Starbuck. With this book, I wanted to pay Mr. Starbuck and the other Dead Men some respect.
Here are the types of systems I've covered in this book:
Gravity systems
Indirect radiation
Diverter tee systems
Loop systems
Radiant heating
Hot water zones taken off of steam boilers
I definitely think you'll find what you're looking for in this book. It contains 100 years worth of hydronic heating questions (over 600 in all!), answered in plain English, as well as dozens of easy-to-follow illustrations. It's a terrific reference book and one you'll be glad that you added to your library.
